As Qualis prepares for our next AS9100/ISO9001 Quality audit, I thought I’d share my thoughts on the subject.  Quality of products and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) and NASA has long been a passion of mine. My Master of Science in Systems Engineering Thesis Paper was on New Directions in Quality Management.   After my thesis paper was published, Wiley and Sons – a Technical Book Publishing firm – reached out to me and asked me to write a book on Qualis Management.  I gave it serious consideration, but eventually declined.  My dedication to my customers and the warfighters said I should not distract from that and stay the course in my direct support to them. We all know quality work is of utmost importance in Government DoD contracts due to multiple reasons. Firstly, the DoD deals with critical and sensitive projects that directly impact national security. Any compromise in our quality of work can have severe consequences, including the failure of defense systems or equipment, which can jeopardize the safety and well-being of military personnel – our warfighters – and our nation. Ensuring high-quality work is essential to maintain the effectiveness and reliability of our defense systems. We, here at Qualis, are 100% committed to the DoD and NASA missions.

We all know that quality work in Government contracts helps to build trust and credibility. The space and defense industry relies on collaboration between the Government and private contractors (i.e., Qualis). When Qualis consistently delivers high-quality work, we know we are establishing a reputation for reliability and professionalism. This, in turn, enhances the Government's confidence in their capabilities and encourages our long-term partnerships.  So, thank you Qualis Family and teammates.  Your quality of work is so important to our national security and our space programs.

By the way, did you know Qualis has expanded, and our new headquarters building is now at 360F? What street you ask?  Why Quality Circle of course!  Quality Circles was a big thing back in the 1980’s when I did my masters paper.  Qualis on Quality Circle still has a nice ring to it!
