QUANTRON and Tamoil together for the future of hydrogen refueling

another „Industry First“ from QUANTRON in the foreground of the Web Summit 2023 which I will be attending. In our endavour of solving the „Chicken & Egg“ challenge in the H2-powered heavy trucking space, we proudly announce the founding of #HEMTRON – our H2 fueling Joint Venture with Oilinvest Group .

We have joined forces with Oilinvest BV, a prominent player in the fuel retailing industry, to build a hydrogen-based refueling network. This strategic partnership has given birth to a groundbreaking joint venture named HEMTRON, which aims to revolutionize the decarbonization of road freight transport across Europe using hydrogen as our energy carrier.

With a shared vision of reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable transportation, #QUANTRON and #Oilinvest are committed to support the adoption of Fuel Cell Electric heavy Vehicles (FCEV). By leveraging Oilinvest's extensive network of more than 2,450 Tamoil filling stations all over Europe and the HEM brand in Germany, HEMTRON will ensure the availability of hydrogen refueling stations in customer-oriented locations near transportation hubs such as logistics centers and highways.

This joint venture is not limited to QUANTRON and Oilinvest; it is an open platform that welcomes the participation of other truck OEMs, energy companies, and fuel cell truck manufacturers. Together, they aim to create a critical mass and establish an extensive hydrogen refueling infrastructure throughout Europe.

At QUANTRON, we have the ambition to be one of the incubators of an H2 based ecosystem, dedicated to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen as a solution to power zero emission heavy duty, long distance trucking across Europe.

Driven by this vision, we have already won partners and investors such as Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP), NEUMAN & ESSER (NEA GROUP) (Germany) and various others. With HEMTRON we have now established the missing piece – ensuring that QUANTRON’s clients will have security in access to H2 filling stations across Europe as early as 2025, being it via Roaming Agreements, our very own Mobile H2 filling stations and our very own H2 fueling network.
