Real 1970 Hemi Cuda Still Original and Unrestored
Your heart races to read the numbers on the fender tag over the driver side wheel well. In the bottom left corner is the important number. Yep, it reads E74. Then you read the next number to the right, it says D21 and the next number is a BS23 code. I think what we have here is a "real deal" 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda. Of course, the "R" code in the VIN number would seal the deal.
This Tor-red (EV2 paint code) Hemi Cuda just turned up in our listings this week. Haggle Me.com, an internet broker is selling it for a client. There is a little bit of information about it out there on the internet if you search real hard. The fact that it is on the market again should cause quite a stir among top Mopar collectors around the country. They tell us it is original and unrestored with only some minor paint work along the right side of the car. It has just 36,000 original miles. They say it was documented by Roger Gibson, the best known authority on high end hemi cars. Galen Govier, the Mopar historian, has done a report on this car, and has it in his Registry. It is one of only 284 Hemi 4-speeds produced that year.
