3 Weight-Loss Ideas

✅Detox/Cleanses are The Dumbest thing EVER

In my opinion the dumbest thing to hit the health & fitness industry is the Detox/Cleanse revolution. THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that either produces any benefit to your health assuming you don’t have a medical condition.

What is interesting is you may believe that it does work or it's a great way to kick off weight loss. It more than likely has more damaging effects than benefits. You’ll likely significantly disrupt your digestive system, cause dehydration, or worse. (Reference from smart people 😜)

Our bodies are naturally made to take care of all of the cleansing/detoxifying by itself through the liver, kidneys & digestive system. If you want to develop or maintain a healthier body here’s what I tell my clients to do:

  • Drink more water
  • Eat a large variety of fruits & veggies daily
  • Move your body early & often
  • Reduce alcohol intake

That’s it. Nothing more is required. Just START DOING IT!

✅No one cares about your health

Last week I talked about this on my IG. Here’s the thing: you can keep waiting and waiting for your life circumstances to be more conducive or you can decide that no one actually cares. Not your job, your family, friends, not a single soul.

Except YOU.

But for some reason you keep pushing things off and not taking it seriously. Look if you don’t draw a line in the sand & make your health a priority why should anyone else?

There will always be another meeting at work, the kids will always have another practice or game, your spouse will likely just want to order in, but none of them have the goals you have set.

So what are you going to do?

✅Eat like a Grown-up

One of the most frustrating things about being a Health & Nutrition coach for adults is that in general they still eat like a typical 8 year old.

No veggies, no fruits, need cheese or sugar on anything that goes into your mouth, prefers cookies, crackers, candy over real food. So how the heck am I supposed to help you live healthier if you and your child have the same requirements?

Here’s some tough love for you: GROW UP!

You have your big girl pants on now so it’s time you started eating like it. I need you to pick 5 different fruits & 5 different Veggies and make sure you are getting them in abundance all week.

Just saying you only eat broccoli or you don’t like oranges is a thing of the past. If you want to live a healthier, more vibrant life then you’re going to need to get a bigger variety of fruits and veggies every day.
