The Reality Behind Fiction - #1

“Novels are for leisure” is one of the most mistook statements a lot of people believe. And that has become the reason for many people among readers to look down at their fellow readers if they prefer fiction over nonfiction.

Yes, it is true that there are novels that are purely written for entertainment, but then there are those that alter the readers mindset forever, the narratives in those books mess with its readers, there are also those novels that influence society and impact segments of people to their core. There are novels that have caused chaos and strikes, and then there are novels that brought peace within communities spreading the love for humanity, and in my personal opinion, the books that make a significant change, and alter the flow of life are considerably better than those written with the only intention to entertain people. (Though I do love novels that are purely story based and not philosophical or propaganda works, or political satires.)...Read More
