Recent study on Blood group and Covid-19
Sharing the finding from a recent "Preprint paper" title "Relationship between the ABO Blood Group and the COVID-19 Susceptibility" [1], which was conducted on 2,173 patients with COVID-19. All patients were from three hospitals from Wuhan and Shenzhen.
Author have analysed COVID-10 corpus using One way Anova and Chi-Squared test. They observed that Blood group A is at higher risk of infection, thus require more personal protection, more vigilant surveillance and aggressive treatment.
Paper also mentions the people with "Blood group O" are at lower risk compare to other blood groups. It is also stated that age and gender does not have much effect on the distribution.
As sample size is not too big for this study, it requires further investigation, but this finding can be extremely useful for million of people, who are about to encounter Covid-19 in coming few days.
Do check the reference paper for statistical details. (I will update link of the source data once i get a response from author).
