Recreate the Most Dramatic Halloween Look!

Do you want to stun this Halloween with a dramatic and mysterious look? Here’s a step-by-step guide to recreate the makeup featured in our video, in collaboration with the talented Soraia Vilela and SweetCare. Follow these tips and watch the full video so you don’t miss any details!

1. Prepped skin:

Start by prepping your skin with your favorite foundation and concealer. L.A. Girl has amazing concealers for color correction—use the green concealer to cover red blemishes, or the peach concealer to neutralize blue under-eye circles. Combine them with the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation for smooth and even coverage.

2. Bold eyes:

This is the trick that makes this look unique! Use a long-lasting black pencil (but one that allows blending before drying) to create geometric lines starting from the center of your forehead down to your cheekbones. Then, draw a graphic eyeliner, extending a line close to the brows and creating a dramatic curve that follows the natural shape of your eyes. Finally, set all the lines with black eyeshadow using a fine brush.

3. Blended shadows:

Now that you’ve got the graphic liner, fill the outer triangle of your eyes with a light brown shadow, blending it towards the center. For the outer corner, use a dark brown shadow to add depth. Don’t forget to also line your waterline with the black pencil!

4. Applying powder:

Use a loose or pressed light powder to set all the makeup applied so far. Tap it gently to avoid disturbing the products beneath. For an extra dramatic touch, apply more powder for a paler look. Finish with a peach blush or a bit of bronzer on your temples for added definition.

5. Intense brows:

Your brows are the key element of this look! Apply waterproof mascara and use it to brush your brows upwards, creating a messy and bold look. If necessary, intensify them further with a brow pencil.

If you feel your brows aren’t intense enough, fill them in with a pencil.

6. Bold lips:

Line your lips with a long-lasting red lip liner and apply a shiny, long-lasting red lipstick, like Dermacol.

7. More dramatic effect:

Slightly smudge the edges of your lips to create a stained, impactful look, and with the help of a fine brush, blend some lipstick with black eyeshadow to create a ripped effect on the corners.

You can also add more intensity to your eye makeup by smudging black eyeshadow and drawing more lines with a fine brush, as if the makeup were dripping.

8. Final touches:

To keep your skin comfortable during the makeup process, use a hydrating mist, like the calming hydrating mist by Sensilis. And don’t forget to use a setting spray, like L.A. Girl, to ensure your makeup stays intact throughout the night.
