Position (1): Operations Officer/ Senior Operations Officer

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Daily Operations

·       Ensure execution of time charter/ time charter trip / voyage charter by coordinating all other internal departments and external parties, including Charterers, broker and agent;

·       Issuing general instruction to master of vessel, ensure the key requirements fulfilled by vessel and monitor the vessel performance;

·       To appoint the agents for owner’s husbandry jobs and Port agency disbursements accounts handling

·       To handle dispute and claims with Charterers.

·       To maintain proper documentation for voyage performed in company shared folder.

·       To Maintain accurate charter-Hire statement, SOA, Freight, and laytime calculation, as well recording for the off-hire claims and disputes or performance claims;

·       To have a monthly voyage performance review, quarterly performance review and yearly performance review for the vessels managed.

·       Other works as assigned by department head from time to time.

2.     Assistance on chartering activities

·       To provide updated vessel particulars (with assistance from the technical dept), especially for speed/consumption profile;

·       To prepare & update for various questionnaire if any, with assistance from the technical department;

·       To review the CP terms and negotiate the best terms on behalf of owners;

1.     Assistance on S&P activities

·       To provide required vessel information to the potential buyers, with assistance from the technical department;

·       To follow up various pre-sale matter with the potential buyers, such as Class record release, pre-purchase inspection arrangement etc;

·       To review the MOA terms and assist the negotiation on the terms on behalf of owners;

·       To ensure smooth delivery of the vessel and closing under the MOA by jointly cooperating with other departments, in accordance with the MOA;

Qualifications:

1.     College degree or above, preferred shipping or related majors;

2.     Good understanding to the time charter-party and voyage charter-party;

3.     Preferrable at least 3 years working experience on the similar position as Operation Offcer, more experience can be considered as Senior Operation Officer;

4.     Good English speaking and writing;

5.     Good communication skills & Team spirit;

6.     Good learning ability

7.     Experience on IMOS will be a plus

8.     Growth mindset is essential

Position (2): Project Manager

About this position:

We expect this role to be multi-functional with main focus on business development and project management for both VSL and Wah Kwong group company.

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Business development

·       To assist the department head for business development with existing and potential clients for vessel investment, vessel sales & purchase, vessel operation, joint venture, bareboat chartering, new energy projects etc.

2.     Project coordination

·       To provide support to the project manager for project management of existing projects and new projects. The projects might be vessel related, new energy related or other business fields.

·       Job duties would include negotiation of contract terms, coordination between internal commercial, legal, finance, operation and technical departments and external clients, follow-up of project execution and periodical reporting to senior management.

3.     Vessel Operation

·       To provide support to Chartering and Operation Department from time to time as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, preferred shipping or business-related majors.

2.     Preferrable 2 years working experience for business development or project management position in shipping companies.

3.     Good communication skills & Team spirit.

4.     Good English speaking and writing.

5.     Good learning ability and open minded.

6.     Self-confidence but willing to change, never struck in experience.

7.     Familiar with shipping agreements eg. Charter Party, Ship Building Contracts, S&P documentations would be a plus.
