Life moves fast, and finding time for self-reflection can be tough. But what if I told you that just 10 minutes a day could make a world of difference in your personal and professional life? I have a simple exercise for you: reflect on three powerful questions each morning. Write down your answers in a journal or on your phone, whatever works for you. This little habit can boost your confidence, spark your curiosity, and help you grow. Let’s dive in!

1. What Makes You Proud?

This isn’t just about boosting your ego; it’s about recognizing your achievements and giving yourself a well-deserved pat on the back. Maybe you hit a key performance indicator (KPI), reached a personal goal, successfully led a meeting, or negotiated a raise. Writing down what you’re proud of can give you an instant confidence lift.

When you regularly reflect on these moments, patterns emerge. You’ll notice the skills and behaviors that contribute to your success, and you can use this insight to achieve even more. Your thoughts become your reality.

2. What Are You Curious About?

Curiosity is the key to growth and innovation. This question invites you to explore new interests, whether they’re related to your job, hobbies, or personal development.

Being curious can lead to endless learning opportunities and professional development. It might inspire you to start a new project, learn a new skill, or even go back to school. Showing curiosity at work proves you’re proactive and eager to grow. It keeps you engaged and motivated, pushing you to seek out new challenges and experiences.

3. Where Can You Use Some Help?

Lastly, be honest with yourself about where you could use some help. Acknowledging that you don’t have all the answers is a sign of strength, not weakness. This question helps you identify areas where you might be struggling or where a little support could go a long way.

Reaching out for help can take many forms. It might mean asking a mentor for advice, teaming up with a colleague, or using available resources to sharpen your skills. By being open about your needs, you create opportunities for connection and collaboration. Plus, fostering a supportive work environment is a win for the whole team.

Making Reflection a Daily Habit

Incorporating these three questions into your daily routine can be a game-changer. Set aside just 10 minutes each day to reflect and jot down your thoughts. By regularly asking yourself what makes you proud, what you’re curious about, and where you could use some help, you’re setting yourself up for continuous growth and development.

Give it a try. Your future self will thank you!
