Reflecting on 2024


Hello August!


August has always felt to me as the start of the second half of the year, even though we’re 5 months away from the end of the year.


Today I would like to share with you some mid-year reflection on how my 2024 has been faring.



A look back


Honestly how we are here is beyond me!



Life continues to teach me to flow in the direction of the river. Pushing through my agenda has not worked, leaving me frustrated, in doubt and impatient. I am learning to open my arms and embrace what life is pushing my way. I am grateful for the abundance of life’s blessings.


My body struggles when it is outpaced by external momentums. I get tired, disconnected and irritated and start cravings for inner calm and harmony. While external developments are not within my control, my self-care is something I can definitely influence.


When my body acts out, I listen and reset, which is what I began doing by the end of June.


I cancelled our summer travel plans and slowed down, focusing on things that renew my energy such as time alone, intimate connections with friends, selective socializing, receiving support and creating space to focus on my priorities.


I slowly reconnected with myself and began feeling ease and flow with life which in turn allows me show up for my clients and support them in their journey of growth.


Client Conversations


I continue to be nourished by conversations as I help my clients befriend their bodies and slim down. Our discussions are seldom about food and weight loss. They are much deeper.
