REFLECTING ON THE YEAR THAT WAS

Reflecting on the year, some could say it’s been great, some amazing, some might say tough. Others are still trying to come to grips with what has happened, and some may not be in the great place to figure out a fabulous plan to move forward.

One thing I believe we all have in common is that we are ALL in the same place with this tip of time. Whatever happened to us, what happened to your parents, their parents, the generations before that, back to the beginning of time all happened in perfect synchronicity, event by event, act after act, thought after thought to eventually create the miraculous, talented, courageous, caring unique person that you get to greet every morning when you look in the mirror. Next time you look in the mirror, say hello to this amazing individual.

Everyday should truly start with a self-high 5 that you are here, you are contributing, you are making a difference in your loved one’s lives and most importantly, it’s YOU that decides your future.

At this very tip of time YOU (everyone) get to choose what you will do in the next moment.

You can choose to be caught up by and held captive by your history, or, you can choose to work to create a better future. You can be more present, more vibrant, happier, calmer, healthier and strive to be a better version of yourself. You will benefit, your loved ones will benefit and the world as a whole gets to appreciate this better version of you.

For some, this has been a crap year or maybe even a longer period than that, but just like all those other moments when there was no light to see, remember how you came out the other side. You endured, you survived and at times triumphed over the most extraordinary odds. Remember those times, remember who you had to be to get through that.

From here, start planning 2025 and beyond. Plan to have your best year ever and become the person you have always wanted to be to enjoy what’s ahead.

A friend of mine suggested looking at all the pictures on my phone this past year before starting my new year’s plan. I bet there will be happy and joyful moments you forgot!

Wishing everyone that reads this post all the very best for 2025. Make the most of it. We only get to live each day once, so let’s make them all count.
