Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Resilience

As I take a moment to ponder the journey that unfolded in 2023, an overwhelming sense of gratitude washes over me. This year has been a tapestry woven with threads of growth, challenges, and continual discovery. It's a narrative shaped not only by my efforts but also by the incredible individuals who joined this transformative expedition. 

BRISKPE: A Collective Dream Unfolds: 

The ascent of BRISKPE, our brainchild turned thriving startup, stands out as a highlight of the year. This achievement owes itself to the unwavering faith of my co-founders Nilesh Pathak and Indunath Chaudhary- इन्दुनाथ चौधरी and early employees. Together, we embarked on a journey, believing in a dream when it was just a glimmer, and collectively poured our hearts into building a venture that now stands tall. To each contributor, I express my deepest gratitude. 

Navigating the Complexities: 

BRISKPE became a beacon in the labyrinthine world of cross-border payments. We unravelled the complexities of international transactions, demystifying the numerical intricacies that shape the financial narrative. This process of simplification has become an invaluable learning experience, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of 2023. 

Beyond Predictions: Crafting Narratives: 

In the whirlwind of finance, the futility of predictions became apparent. Embracing a more pragmatic approach, we focused on understanding the forces that shape outcomes. We became adept at weaving narratives based on a holistic understanding of our environment—a shift that proved to be an invaluable compass in navigating the ever-changing financial landscape. 

Embracing Probabilities: 

Viewing life through the lens of probabilities has been transformative. Recognizing the spectrum of possibilities in every situation fostered adaptability and resilience, equipping me to navigate uncertainties with grace. 

Pursuing Joy, Finding Clarity: 

Beyond finance, my sanctuary lies in running—a journey of self-discovery paved with unwavering resilience. The rhythmic cadence of my feet against the pavement brings clarity, transcending the track and resonating with the complexities of life. As I gear up for the TMM full marathon in January 2024, the parallels between personal health and building a thriving startup are striking. I advocate for joy at work and encourage others to find their wellsprings of personal fulfilment. Whether it's running, painting, or writing, embrace what brings you joy and let it illuminate your path. 

The Perpetual Learner: 

Walking into any situation with the mindset of a perpetual learner has been a guiding principle. Embracing the "dumbest in the room" philosophy fosters continuous growth, allowing me to accumulate valuable insights. Humility paves the path to continuous learning—a lesson ingrained in the fabric of my year. 

The Pen, the Catalyst: 

Writing has become my chisel, refining thoughts into articulate expressions. Whether through blog posts, short blurbs, or structured content, writing has catalyzed self-discovery, helping me articulate ideas, understand myself better, and share my learnings with the world. 

Resilience in the Face of Criticism: 

Learning to deflect negativity and transform it into fuel for improvement has been a crucial lesson. Cultivating resilience against undue criticism and focusing on continuous self-improvement has become my personal and professional development cornerstones. 

The Value of Constructive Feedback: 

In the fast-paced world of today, genuine feedback is a precious commodity. Recognizing the significance of constructive criticism and leveraging it for improvement has been a strategic approach to growth. I've learned to embrace feedback as a gift—a chance to polish my skills and become the best version of myself. 

The Power of Delegation: 

Delegating isn't just about task-shifting; it's a strategic move that unlocks potential. Balancing focus between major and minor decisions allows me to navigate challenges more effectively over time. It's about empowerment, not just task distribution, building a team that thrives on collaboration and shared success. 

Embracing Rejections: 

A significant chapter of this year unfolded in the face of rejection during our pursuit of funding. Presenting to investors and VCs meant encountering numerous "no's." However, I learned the invaluable lesson of perseverance. Each rejection became a stepping stone, refining my pitch and vision. Eventually, we met the right investor—one who not only believed in BRISKPE but shared the passion for making it a game-changer for SME exporters and importers. This experience reinforced that the right partner is worth the wait, and resilience is the key to unlocking doors when the path seems darkest. 

As we bid farewell to 2023, I extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this transformative journey. Each lesson learned, and each challenge overcome has enriched the tapestry of my experiences.
