Reinforcing the Connections with our Manila Team

Reinforcing the Connections with our Manila Team

With my new role as a Senior Director, focusing on Mobility Structures, I have an additional responsibility to lead the teams from Philippines and Romania offices. Of course, my role changed from January itself, but I was too busy even to change my status on Linked In. 😊 Today, I could not avoid getting active on this platform and share a lot of positivity. This week, I had an opportunity to visit our Manila, Philippine, office. I always have travelled to west of India, but this was my first time to east and of course to Manila.

In the beginning and as a usual phenomenon, language or culture was a concern but when we connect on engineering, enthusiasm and importantly on energy level, life becomes so easy. It was great to meet the team with an amazing talent, skill, potential and the welcoming smile. Even with a hybrid working model, we had more than one hundred associates from mobility attending our sessions, meetings, and workshops.

We connected on various levels viz. strategic approach, global alignment, challenges and their mitigation plan, attrition and operational concerns, individual career growth plans, growth of teams, 1-2-1 discussions, discipline wise team connects and some team building workshops. Teams loved those workshops, and the response was amazing. It did not need much of an ice breaking and everyone was proactively participating, contributing, and importantly enjoying. With such a talent pool, enthusiastic teams and the strategic approach, growth of this team is simply inevitable. With some of our Australia leaders visiting Manila this week, it reinforced our approach of focus and growth of these teams.

I am glad we could be part of the celebrations of 10-year milestone of our colleagues and spot award winners as well as welcoming our new joiners. Thanks to our entire Manila team for the warm welcome and making us feel like a home. Special thanks to Lynel Ames Llamas , @Jess Vergara, Berlinda Castaneda , Bill Middleton and Ryan Smith for the hospitality. I am still in Manila but already looking forward for my next trip.
