Remembering the XFL
I served as the QB coach/OC/play caller for the Orlando Rage in the winter of 2001. Jeff Brohm the now HFC of Western Kentucky was our QB and was selected as 1st Team All-XFL. If you watch the clip of the game, the very first play was a 51 yard TD! CFLer Joe Paopao was the OC in San Francisco where their HC was Jim Skipper the current RB coach of the Carolina Panthers, Jim Barker current GM of the ARGO's was the OC in Los Angeles and as you'll see in the article a lot of CF...L players. After our initial "coin toss" player was injured, we went to Scott Cloman as our man and I brought Scott into the Washington Redskins a few years later. Scott currently lives in Edmonton after playing with the Eskimos. Our strong safety was Louis Riddick who is rising fast as an analyst on ESPN and Louis also worked with me in Pro Personnel with the Redskins. Enjoy some of this football history. It was so much fun and I wish ego's didn't get involved and the League survived. Nice article but they missed a few!
