Remembrance Day UK: Honouring Sacrifice, Embracing Unity

This Remembrance Day feels especially poignant as we witness conflicts unfolding across the world, reminding us of the profound cost of peace. Today, we honor all who served and sacrificed, including the often-overlooked African, Caribbean, and Commonwealth soldiers who stood alongside Allied forces, fighting for a vision of peace that crossed borders and bridged differences.

In a world where headlines are filled with stories of division—from Gaza to Ukraine—these heroes teach us that resilience, unity, and compassion are the true antidotes to war. Today was even more meaningful as my "nieces", the daughters of my best friend, proudly marched the streets of London as cadets, honouring those who came before them.
