Remote working & Culture against the virus
In this uncertainty environment, when all indicators lead to think in a coming global crisis, companies are trying to contain the potential economic and trust losses with a new released way of doing business (remotely-usually from home), designed some time ago for those who wanted to conciliate, specially women.
At the very beginning this way of work was not seen by high level management as something trustworthy.
Today is the key element for all companies trying to survive to the actual situation.
Only those who deeply believed in remote working, and invested and developed a well designed technology environment that supports the level of quality, speed and communications needed for continuing ahead as nothing should happened. This will be the differential point for succeeding.
However, in order to get such a success in this challenging moment, management has to lead by example more than ever. Management has to believe on it, more than ever, and has to pass it on to the rest of the organization. Every individual should act accordingly to keep the confidence.
And this is directly related with the underlying culture organizations have developed across the years. The role modeling, the clarity, the involvement and the accountability of every individual aligned with company objectives will allow to use the remote working efficiently and effectively.
