Repurposing the Non-Recyclable

Repurposing the Non-Recyclable

At The Bike Shed in LA, this LiveWire S2 Del Mar electric motorcycle sits on a platform made from the first construction-grade building material created entirely from repurposed, non-recyclable plastic. This material is called ByBlock and uses industrial and post-consumer plastic waste that’s otherwise headed for the landfill. It does not crack or crumble like concrete, requires no glue or adhesives, has 83% less CO2 emissions than concrete blocks, and creates zero waste in the process. ByBlock is an innovation of ByFusion , a Los Angeles-based manufacturer that aims to help decarbonize the planet by solving the global plastic crisis. At LiveWire, we continue to identify the many ways we can show up to be more sustainable, and partnering with a like-minded, eco-conscious company like ByFusion to build gorgeous displays for LiveWire motorcycles was an easy decision. We look forward to the many other opportunities to partner with ByFusion in our shared goals.
