Retail Notes On Alfa Romeo
Back again with another article on retail. I have been gone for a few days since I have had to get ready to head out of BC. So I haven't been online for the time being. Now that I am back and ready to eventually settle into writing again I will talk a bit about retail but a different type of retail which often never gets thought of.That is auto retail which isn't really talked about since we don't shop for cars particularly new cars on a daily basis which isn't an important need but none the less it is a part of retail since as customers we do want the best deal.
With that said I am going to talk about Alfa Romeo, the Italian automaker which is not really in people's mind since coming into the market in 2014 and opening some dealers in North America. I will start off by saying that while I admire them trying to make themselves into a luxury brand I have to say that they haven't reached this goal yet since from what I am seeing they haven't sold as many cars as they planned and I think I know why.It has to do with not only reliability issues which I think has been a problem for them in the past but maybe a lack of marketing with its advertisements.
But I think that the biggest problem is their lack of variety. What I mean is that they don't leave much choices for customers to choose from. They only have three models for customers to choose and that doesn't help the owners Fiat-Chrysler in boosting sales in their luxury division. The simple fact is that they need to make more models if they're going to compete against the likes of BMW,Audi,Mercedes-Benz,Lexus and Porsche and other brands in this already saturated luxury car market. I am also seeing that Alfa's partner Maserati is having the same problem too.
So something needs to change within that brand in order to make Alfa Romeo successful and to have customers happy with their products but first they will have to sell the cars in order to make some money and to use the money for innovation and research in making more newer models because it seems like a good brand and they have the ability to keep up with their competitors. It would also help them open up more dealers and building a dealer base network.
