Retreat review: Rebalance Retreat, Elements of Byron

Location: 10 minute drive (or solar train) from Byron Bay

Vibe: luxe boho chic - amongst an eco-friendly 5 star resort

Retreat highlights: 5 nights in a luxury villa, daily buffet breakfast, beachfront sunrise yoga, self-guided meditation eco walks, Osprey spa voucher and The Beauty Chef elixirs… heaven!

My top 3: unforgettable spa experience, the wave of relaxation that came over me almost immediately upon arrival, and optional participation in the retreat so I could tap into what felt good whenever (with zero guilt)

My experience:

Arriving at Elements, I was not in my best state. Transparently, I’m completely struggling to keep up with demands for my work, understaffed, and tired - yes, even ‘sleep expert’ me.

This all seemed to quickly fade away though - maybe it was the authenticity and warmth of the staff, envisaging myself lounging by the firepit, on a sunbed at the adults only pool or nestled within the lush tropical rainforest at the edge of the property - or hearing that all activities were optional.

The retreat experience itself was decadent - I felt nourished and nurtured in every moment. Be it the outstanding daily buffet breakfast with homemade organic acai and unlimited fresh juice; the blissful sunrise yoga set overlooking the secluded Belongil Beach, or the unforgettable Osprey spa experience where I truly believe I transcended to another dimension - it was heaven.

Back in my private luxury villa; serenity went to a new level by listening to the self guided meditation whilst in the oversize tub and then on my king size bed, lulling me deeper and deeper into bliss. Waking to the sound of rustling leaves and chirping birds, I felt completely surrounded and supported by the natural environment, and purposefully took time to appreciate it’s essence.

While I could share more, you’ll learn best through experience - and what an experience it will be. Look forward to calmness, clarity and feeling alive again; even if you are from that upon arrival. Embrace the stillness, the silence, the serenity - I have no doubts this will be you, as it is now me.
