Rice Terrace, Plein

I’m publishing this series on LinkedIn called Colors to explore a topic that I care deeply about: the Renaissance Mind. I am just as passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and business, as I am about art and culture. In this series, I will typically publish a piece of art – one of my paintings – and I request you to spend a minute or two deeply meditating on it. I urge you to watch your feelings, thoughts, reactions to the piece, and write what comes to you, what thoughts it triggers, in the dialog area. Let us see what stimulation this interaction yields. For today – Rice Terrace, Plein

Delightful! Feelings of both growth and continuity. I love the brightness.

Secondly; comes the arial view, perhaps, moreso, due to the title. Although, the colors are basically primary, life affiming, at 'First glance', the top 1/3 of the painting gives a feeling of toppling over, consuming the bottom 2/3. Could it be a subliminal political statement of world crises? A confrontation? A power struggle? That 'First glance' is more powerful than the title, and carries through with each new observation. Of course, words, images come from the creator, but interpretation is most often according to the viewer's experiences, perspectives.
