With the year coming to an end, we celebrate a year of remarkable achievements by our members. How has the Singapore-Norway collaboration supported their growth? What milestones defined 2024?

The holiday season is a time to celebrate the meaningful contributions of our members to the local community. NBAS members like TOMRA and TECO Chemicals have been actively making a difference through initiatives such as environmental cleanups, sustainability education, and supporting underprivileged communities, embodying the spirit of giving back.
The Singapore Norway Innovation Conference (SNIC) 2024 brought industry leaders together to explore “Smarter Ships, Smarter Ports, and Smarter Energy.” Held over November 6-7 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore, the event offered keynotes and sessions emphasizing collaboration between Singapore and Norway in maritime technology, decarbonization, and green financing. A highlight was DNV’s Singapore Energy Transition Insights session, which explored Southeast Asia’s path to net zero.
The event concluded with the SNIC Innovation Awards, celebrating advances in maritime technology.

SNIC 2024 was an inspiring event filled with engaging discussions, made even sweeter by the Sjømannskirken (the Norwegian Seamen’s Mission in Singapore), serving waffles with TINE’s iconic brown cheese to delighted participants. At OSEA, the Sjømannskirken continued to bring smiles with their signature waffles, showcasing the warmth of Norwegian hospitality.
