The rise of the Blended workforce
The recruitment industry has been going through a transformation over the last few years. So, what has driven this? Well to be honest it has been clients! The constant demand for a more flexible approach to recruitment coupled with an efficient ROI has seen MJ Solutions triple their growth in 2024
So, what is a blended workforce. Well, it is exactly what is says on the tin. A strategic staffing approach that integrates full-time employees with freelancers, contractors, part-time workers, and temporary staff. A good example is the project we have on the go now in Riyadh.
The client requested c.200 hires per year with a focus on Saudi Nationals from the banking industry. The proposal needed to be a fixed monthly fee with no recruitment charges and a dedicated team on site in Riyadh. So far, after 12 months, we have saved the client 40% in recruitment fees and reduced their spend on their internal TA team, but more importantly the time to hire has been reduced from 6 months to 3.
So, is the traditional recruitment model dead? Definitely not, but as recruiters we need to adapt to a changing market. MJ Executive have had more senior mandates this year with the majority retained but we have seen the "volume" or "project" hires move into MJ Solutions.
