RiseUP's Monthly Update
Spring is here, which officially makes it mural season! We are committed to helping communities across Connecticut develop inspiring and inclusive Public Art. Public Art is FOR the community to enjoy and helps to give a voice to the neighborhood. RiseUP's community engagement strategy puts community first when developing our murals. This includes:
- Forming local steering committees in each neighborhood or town a mural is being installed,
- Conducting community surveys and forums,
- Including volunteers as part of our painting process and,
- Hiring LOCAL Connecticut Artists for all of our projects.
This strategy has led RiseUP to bring our public art community engagement expertise across the State.
