On the road to conquer the world

On the road to conquer the world

While the main road is crowded and full of trucks, a parallel road less traveled exists for entrepreneurs who have a great idea and want to start a business. Two young women-entrepreneurs, Daniela P. (Padurariu) and Raluca Elena E. , launched Glow2Go in 2020, an innovative platform for at home beauty services. They have recently obtained a round of investment of 200.000 Euro from business angels from the Bravva Angels community.

As we interviewed the two ladies, we asked what they have learned so far on their entrepreneurial journey and what they hope to accomplish in the future.

How it all started

We started working on Glow2Go three years ago, after returning from a learning experience in Cape Town. There, we met an inspiring woman-entrepreneur that ran a similar business model to ours. After that meeting, we were 100% convinced that we would bring beauty on demand to Romania.

When we thought about the need to raise funding, we felt really anxious because we thought it would be a hard process and we might not be able to succeed. We were really stressed out during the first meetings with investors, but soon we realized that we actually liked meeting with them. We felt natural while talking and all the investors were friendly and wanted to know more about us and the business. They gave us valuable feedback and helped with resources. “From fear to confidence” we would describe our process.

Getting funds: From fear to confidence

We knew Ilinca Paun from EA and she was the one that helped us all the way. We always met her before meetings with investors, and she would give us feedback and would work with us to improve our presentation. She was there for us during the entire process and afterward. The process took 3 months. 3 months of development and stepping out of our comfort zone.

The future looks Glowy

We are using most part of the sum for scaling our business in more cities in Romania. We are currently in Bucharest, Ilfov, and Cluj and starting with December, in Brasov and Timisoara, as well.

We also use the money in order to grow our internal team. We definitely need more people to join our team.

We will also allocate a part of the sum to developing the platform. We now understand better our clients’ needs and pain points and we want to work on improving their experience with Glow2Go.

Of course, we will invest more in marketing, to attract more clients and more experts. We need more new clients, but also need to convince them to be recurrent to our services. In addition, we are constantly looking for new freelancer specialists in beauty and relaxation services to join our team.

Sales tripled in just a few months. Ambitious plans for next year

We tripled in terms of sales and revenue since we got the investment, in July 2022. We were able to invest more in promoting our services, while paying attention to the quality of our services. We strive to deliver 5-star experiences to all our customers in their own homes.

We estimate a 10x fold increase in revenue by the end 2023, compared to 2022, from 200.000 EUR to 2.000.000 EUR.

Sky is the limit

We plan to grow our business further. One line of growth is to extend our services to new cities. Recently, we began offering our services in Cluj-Napoca, and things are going well so far. In December, just in time for the holidays, we plan to launch our to Timisoara and Brasov.

At the same time, we intend to extend our service range and introduce new types of massages, our most successful and required service since we started.

Glow2Go attracted an investment of 200.000 EURO from Bravva Angels to further improve its development of services. It is the first platform for beauty services at home in Romania.
