Round Manaslu Trekking 16 Days
Round Manaslu Trekking 16 Days
The Manaslu Himal rises in the north of the Gorkha District in mid-western Nepal. The region contains some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in the Himalayan. The mountain and its satellites stand south of the border and the budhi Gandaki that drains the region. While on the trip we get to marvel at the magnificent views of Mt. Manaslu (8167m), the eight tallest mountain in the world, coupled with a chance to witness the rich local heritage and biological diversity of the region. The highest point in this trek is the Larkya La Pass (5160m). Which is widely believed to be one of the most dramatic pass crossing the Himalayas. The trail is rough and steep and in a couple of places literally hangs on bluff high above the river.
The trek is both geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating. The inhabitants of the upper Budi Ghandaki, a region known as Nupri( the western Mountains) are direct descendants of Tibetan Immigrants who settled here in the early 1600s.The restricted trekking was opened for Manaslu in 1992 and for Tsum in 2008 Nepal's five restricted regions many only be explored in the company of an official trekking guide, with a minimum of two (2) persons per party a Restricted Region Permit.
