Round up 20 Feb
As another week gets underway we're delighted to bring you another round up of news from our Dignity Centres as well as the fantastic work being done to raise awareness and funds in the UK.
Moldova
This week we are mindful of the approaching first anniversary of the war in Ukraine and continue to work closely with members at our centre in Chisinau to support those suffering from the impact of war in a safe country.
Looking for an opportunity to support Ukrainian people? We have just the thing for you! We are looking for volunteers to join the team in Chisinau, Moldova from the 20th of March.
Not sure what volunteering will be like? One of our volunteer's Mandie says: “If anyone is in two minds about volunteering—just jump in. You will never regret it. It will enhance your life and you will make lasting friendships from all over the world.”
There is lots of information about volunteering and how to start the quick application process on our website.
Cyprus
Over at our Dignity Centre in Nicosia, our wonderful volunteer Marko gives us an overview of the services that we offer including the barbers, support with registering with the employment service, CV writing and the market. All of this is possible thanks to your generous donations and our fantastic team of volunteers!

Our approach and its impact
If you're curious to find out more about our approach and its impact then we have a series of article just for you. In the first of this series, Dr Jonathon Newman explores how we are supporting resilience and adaptation through addressing the loss of resources and control and asks: 'when is a shop not a shop?'. Stay tuned for the next instalment!
Rock for Ukraine
We also have some exciting fundraising news to share. On Thursday 23rd February, the financial services industry is putting on a fundraising event to support our work in Moldova 'Rock for Ukraine'. The event will feature a band called Consumer Duty and is sponsored by: Nucleus, Novia, M&G Wealth and many others.
We are very grateful to the organisers Phil Billingham, David Crozier and Shannon Currie who have been amazing supporters of our work. To find out more about the event and how you can support head over to our website or visit Rock for Ukraine (rockukraine.co.uk)
