"SafetyFirst: 15 Days of Patient-Centered Care"
Prologue:
In the world of healthcare, there is a guiding principle that stands unwavering above all else - the safety and well-being of the patient. It is a principle that forms the bedrock of every medical decision, every treatment plan, and every interaction between healthcare professionals and those in their care. In honor of this fundamental ethos, we embark on a journey, a journey of awareness, education, and commitment.
Welcome to "SafetyFirst: 15 Days of Patient-Centered Care," a campaign dedicated to the cause of patient safety. As we approach Patient Safety Day on September 17th, we invite you to join us on this enlightening and empowering voyage that stretches from August 3rd to August 16th, 2023.
Patient safety is not merely a concept; it is a promise made by the healthcare community to prioritize, protect, and advocate for those who entrust their health and well-being to our care. It is a commitment that extends beyond the sterile confines of hospitals and clinics, reaching into the hearts and minds of every individual involved in the healthcare journey.
Throughout these 15 days, we will delve into a multitude of perspectives and facets related to patient safety. We will explore the intricate web of communication, the nuances of medication management, the vigilance required in infection control, the role of technology in modern healthcare, and much more. We will hear stories of resilience, innovation, and unwavering dedication to the cause of keeping patients safe.
This campaign is not just for healthcare professionals; it is for patients, families, caregivers, and anyone who has ever been touched by the healthcare system. It is for those who understand that, at its core, healthcare is a partnership built on trust, empathy, and a shared commitment to well-being.
As we journey together through these 15 days, let us collectively elevate our understanding of patient safety. Let us empower ourselves with knowledge, inspire change through action, and champion the cause of every patient who walks through the doors of a healthcare facility, seeking care, compassion, and, above all, safety.

Well said Dr Ajay Vasant Rotte, MS , CARE CIIGMA HOSPITAL, MBBS PGDHHM DFID PGDCED MBA CPHQ PSC LSSGB Ph.D. Patients must get educated and make sure they are heard. Patient safety requires an engaged patient. We cannot leave our health to the healthcare (sick care) system. Clinicians need us to engage in our own health care.
