Double Every Salesperson’s Selling Time by Harnessing the Power of AI

In today’s new thought leadership blog post from Amanda Van Nuys, Head of Thought Leadership at LinkedIn, she offers a compelling roadmap for sales executives eager to thrive in an AI-driven world. With a staggering 76% of sales leaders feeling unprepared for the future, it’s clear that many are overwhelmed by the myriad of AI tools available.

The real question that we’re all collectively asking is, “Where can AI make a real impact today?” Here’s our answer. AI augments a salesperson’s capabilities by automating mundane tasks and freeing up time for meaningful conversations with people that matter.

New research from Ipsos and LinkedIn reveals that salespeople currently spend a mere 24% of their time actually selling—roughly 10 hours a week. By leveraging AI to streamline administrative chores and optimize processes, teams could potentially reclaim 29% of their time, doubling their selling hours to over 20 weekly.

Hello sales leader! That’s like doubling your workforce—with the team you already have!

LinkedIn Economic Graph: Top 10 Emerging Economies to Sell into Right Now

Here’s another gem from our LinkedIn Insights lead Carla Intal’s quarterly newsletter, “The Sales Nowcast.” In the latest issue, she highlights global pockets of growth identified by the LinkedIn Economic Graph team, offering valuable insights to enhance your sales strategy by focusing on key areas of opportunity.

“High growth markets imply strong buying demand, making them worth focusing your sales efforts. This quarter, six of the top 10 highest-growth markets are emerging economies (EEs). Indonesia (which ranked #2 last quarter) at #1 continues to show strong growth. The other EEs are ranked as follows: United Arab Emirates (#2), India (#3), Brazil (#4), Pakistan (#7), and Philippines (#8). The other countries in the top ten this quarter are Australia (#5), Singapore (#6), UK (#9) and Ireland (#10).”

She also shares additional market granularity so that you can hyper-target your efforts. ”For instance, in Indonesia, the highest growth market is Yogyakarta; for India, Greater Chennai; for Australia, Greater Sydney. For EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) – the highest growth markets are UAE, UK (Leeds) and Ireland (Dublin). For the US and Canada, the highest growth areas this quarter are Greater Vancouver; Atlanta GA; Springfield Mass; and Orlando FL. And for Latin America, Brasilia is the highest growth market.”

So, if you’re focused on international growth, now you know where to find rich pockets of opportunity. Happy selling!
