Saltbox Turns One!

Saltbox Turns One!

This month, we celebrate the one-year anniversary of the opening of our first Saltbox location, so I wanted to take a few moments to reflect on the occasion. To say that it’s been ‘quite a year’ would seem a bit cliche in 2020, but alas…

The story of Saltbox begins and ends with our members and 2020 has left us with countless stories to tell. Our Atlanta location is now home to dozens of growing businesses, all of whom find unique value in the flexibility, logistical enablement, and convenience that Saltbox delivers.

Over the past year, we’ve excitedly watched as our members have thrived. Despite the pandemic, some have launched new brands and shipped their very first order from Saltbox, while others have experienced tremendous growth and shipped tens of thousands. In each case, they took a chance on us for which we have the ultimate gratitude.

Personally, I am grateful to my Fifteen incredible colleagues. Selflessly dedicating one’s time, energy, and passion towards building a company with as ambitious a vision as ours is not for the faint at heart, and yet that’s exactly what these folks do every day. Our team is focused on ensuring that our members have the physical infrastructure and enabling services that they need to grow.

While the memories of helping our very first members move into Saltbox remain fresh in my mind, those memories now sit alongside the even clearer promise of an incredibly bright future, not just for the companies that call Saltbox home, but indeed for Saltbox itself.

This year more than any has made it abundantly clear that our economy is in the midst of a generational transformation, and that the future will demand that all companies with physical goods--big and small--be logistically enabled.

I couldn’t be more excited about the year ahead!

Congratulations Tyler! Wow, it’s only been one year? It feels like we met a decade ago. I guess that’s the 2020 effect.
