Just three days ago, Jan Leike, former alignment researcher at OpenAI, announced his new position at OpenAI's competitor, Anthropic. 

Former board member Helen Toner, who allegedly fired Sam Altman last November, also spoke out. 

She revealed that Sam often withheld information, misrepresented facts, and sometimes outright lied, which eroded trust and led to his dismissal. 

She cited instances where the board learned about ChatGPT's launch via Twitter and where Sam failed to disclose his financial interests in the company.

In the past two weeks, top-level employees like Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever and Jan Leike left OpenAI. While they didn't provide specific reasons, there are hints that concerns over AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) safety might have played a role. 

OpenAI is now reaching out to former employees to de-escalate the situation and discuss reparations.
