Founding a legacy: 

National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor Janelle Hail. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1980 at the age of 34. When she was diagnosed there was little knowledge about the disease. After her treatment, she made a heartfelt commitment to empower women worldwide through education on breast cancer and the crucial importance of early detection. 

The National Breast Cancer Foundation was established to bridge the gaps in cancer care, ensuring every woman has the access and knowledge needed to navigate every aspect of her breast cancer journey.
