The SCALE Show returns for the 2024 global conference.
SCALE Show: the premium educational and networking event for professional short-term rental managers is back in Barcelona on 14-16 May for the 2024 global event. So what’s been happening since our last Barcelona encounter?
The year that SCALE scaled!
A lot has happened in the last year for the SCALE family. You could say that SCALE took its own advice and SCALED!
We’ve had a rebrand from Scale Rentals Show to straightforward SCALE Show.
We’ve scaled up our core team bringing on Katie Glover as our growth specialist and Kathryn Ryan who is launching the SCALE Community.
We’ve spent the last 12 months rolling out country specific events with the French and Italian shows being joined by SCALE UK, Spain and South Africa. And SCALE Dubai is coming up later this year.
And after a myriad of requests to open up SCALE to a wider property manager audience we launched SCALE Open. An accessible conference for all hosts, property managers and investors independent of the size of the portfolio and which tags onto each main SCALE conference.
In the last 12 months, we are proud to have welcomed over 2,000 individuals to SCALE events around the globe.
Meanwhile in the rest of the ‘STR’ world?
1/ The STR industry is being buffeted by the introduction of regulations and tax break restrictions across several regions. But with strong advocates in place fighting our corner, we’re set to weather the storm and demonstrate why economies need short-term rentals.
2/ AI has gone from being a tool to ‘watch out for’ to an integral automation tool for scaling your STR business.
3/ Several regions across the globe are seeing supply outstrip demand, which in turn has meant a drop in revenue for hosts #Airbnbust. To stay ahead of the game and maintain a healthy volume of bookings, STR professionals need to look outside of the box for innovative ways to reach guests and increase revenue streams.

What’s in store for SCALE 2024?
SCALE Show 2024 will be held at the Fira de Barcelona - Pabellón Textil. An iconic city centre building dating back to the early 20th century and with an incredible industrial single floor space ready to welcome you for the fifth global edition of SCALE Show.
We are expecting to welcome over 600 attendees to join us for the 3 day event with some cracking sessions scheduled from the world’s leaders in short-term rentals management, tech visionaries, operational and revenue specialists, book direct pioneers and advocates for sustainability and diversity.
Sharing real-world tactics from Property Managers
We’re also thrilled to welcome Thibault Masson and Uvika Wahi to the SCALE agenda. The Rental Scale-Up team will be hosting the Knowledge Stage: a dedicated platform for property managers to share their scaling experiences.
