The Science of Us and Ancient Meditations
Why being human is still the coolest thing in the universe.
Hi Guys,
Welcome to another Thursday, my happy place, even though I’m writing to you from bed with a case of the seasonal flu.
I want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate this community.
Last week, I was moved by all the genuine messages that came in from around the world sending me their love & light.
When I’m not geeking out on tech, I’m just being human.
As much as I choose joy, I also choose to sit with raw emotions that make me human, like fear, wonder, and introspection.
Listen, before I get carried away, let’s find a quiet spot, where we can settle in to take a few mindful breaths to center ourselves.
Let’s drop our mortal shoulders and close your eyes, if you like.
Take a deep breath in... and a slow breath out.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Take one last deep breath, and feel the stillness of this moment.
Now, open your eyes and use the gift of sight to read this week's letter with me 😻
As the great Marcus Aurelius once said: "When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love!”
