In Search of Happiness: My Journey to Reduce Anxiety and Achieve Balance

My journey in search of happiness and well-being was initially unconscious. It is only recently that I have approached these issues consciously and systematically. I have been studying, talking, and reading extensively on the subject, seeking to better understand how to deal with stress, anxiety, and the challenges of everyday life.

Years ago, I was confronted with the reality of burnout when a colleague faced this situation. It was a painful awakening, as it made me realize that, even with the best intentions, we don't always know how to help. I learned that sometimes the best form of assistance is simply giving space for the person to breathe and recover.

During this process of seeking balance and happiness, I found valuable resources, such as the book "10% Happier" by Dan Harris . The way Harris shares his own experience, from panic attacks to his journey in search of inner peace, is captivating. His skepticism about religion and his discovery of meditation as a tool to confront internal voices and self-criticism resonated deeply with me.

Although I struggle to meditate, I learned about the importance of breathing during a course called Art of Living . This course was transformative, and reading the book reminded me of the importance of knowing how to breathe correctly. It seems so simple, doesn't it? However, I discovered that breathing techniques can be incredibly effective in relaxing and coping with difficult situations. It is a practice that can be easily incorporated into daily life, offering a moment of pause and recharge amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Regardless of beliefs or spiritual practices, the central message of "10% Happier" is universal: we can all find a path to a more balanced and happy life. As I continue my journey, I share these reflections in the hope that they may inspire others to also seek their own well-being and happiness.

Great article! I feel that in the midst of our fast-paced lives, it's so hard to "find the time" to find balance. Especially now, as a mother, it's something that I have to consciously stop and think about.
