Season’s Greetings from Governors for Schools☃️
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for your support. Whether you're celebrating with loved ones or simply enjoying a peaceful pause, we hope you find joy this festive season.
This year, Governors for Schools has proudly placed over 1800 governance volunteers in schools and supported 1400+ schools and academy trusts nationwide. Without the work of school governors and academy trustees across England and Wales, this would not be possible. Your commitment to ensuring every child has access to a high quality of learning is invaluable. By providing strategic guidance, fostering accountability, and championing school improvement, you’re strengthening leadership and improving educational outcomes for thousands of pupils.
We also wanted to take a moment to reflect on the amazing work schools and academy trusts do more widely to ensure every pupil is able to thrive. Working in education is often a thankless job but after serving the space for 25 years, we’ve seen the difference that every person makes in keeping the education system running smoothly. For all those working in schools, whatever your role, we thank you for the work you do.
A big thanks also goes out to our corporate and university partners, without whom we would not be able to deliver our much-needed services year-round. We’ve made no secret this year of the challenges affecting funding for education governance, but through the support of generous funders, we’ve been able to continue our services to schools and trusts nation-wide. If you'd like to support us, we welcome any donations that mean that we can continue to deliver all our services.

Tomorrow (Friday, 20th December 2024) is our last working day and we'll be back on the 2nd January 2025. During this period, we’ll be monitoring our info@governorsforschools.org.uk email and will get back to you as soon as possible. Our responses to emails during this time are likely to be delayed until we return to full service in January.
Thank you again for your support, and we hope you enjoy your winter break, however you celebrate the festive period.
