SECO/WARWICK’s unique solution for European car window manufacturer

A global car window manufacturer’s European branch has purchased two SECO/WARWICK technological lines. The SECO/WARWICK Group will deliver RHLE units for bending car windows to two of the company’s locations.

This will be the second cooperation with the Czech manufacturer and the fourth implementation in Poland. This project is based on mutual cooperation, where SECO/WARWICK supplies the furnace, and the bending technology of the windows is provided by the Partner. RHLE units can significantly affect the efficiency of window manufacturers in the automotive sector.

Bending windows with SECO/WARWICK

“RHLE units can significantly affect the efficiency of window manufacturers in the automotive sector.  The systems consist of heating chambers, bending chambers, cooling chambers and a system of roller and chain conveyors with a loading lift and pins. The RHLE unit is designed for bending car windshields in serial production, and the windshield bending process itself is carried out at a maximum working temperature of 700°C, in an air atmosphere,” explains Piotr Skarbiński, Vice President of the Aluminum and CAB Products Segment at SECO/WARWICK.
“The solution was created as a response to the Partner’s needs and is tailored to their expectations, including in terms of the windshield size to be bent in these units. In addition, the system is equipped with an automatic measurement system after the bending process. The unit operates in an automatic cycle. All activities related to maintaining technological parameters are carried out automatically using the control system under the  supervision of the operator. The operator’s presence is only necessary during loading and unloading as well as when changing molds.” – explains Maciej Stanulewicz, Sales Manager at SECO/WARWICK.
