The Secret To Happiness

The Secret To Happiness

There's an old legend about a group of God's who had discovered the secret to happiness.

Greedily, these God's wanted to keep this to themselves, wanting to hide it from the humans on earth.

They called an emergency council meeting to determine where to hide such a powerful, life altering secret.

At the round table, each took turn sharing ideas.

"We can sink it in the deepest, darkest corner of the sea" said one God.

"No, that will not do, for one day they will swim to the deepest point of the sea and find it" replied another.

"We can bury it deep in the earth" came another suggestion.

"No, for one day they will dig deep down in the earth and find it" came the response.

"We can place it at the very peak of the highest mountain on earth!"

"No, eventually humans will climb to the highest points on earth and find it"

Having exhausted every option, the God's were frustrated as they realized that one day, humans will overcome every obstacle on earth, climbing to the highest peaks, digging to the very core of earth, navigating every corner of the sea...

Finally, after a few minutes of quiet pandering, the oldest and wisest of the God's rises and speaks.

"I have discovered the greatest hiding spot. We will hide it deep within the humans themselves, for they will search far and wide among the earth, but will never search within themselves to find it".

As the story goes, humanity has gone on to search every inch of earth looking for happiness, they've participated in every activity they though would bring joy, they've chased every person looking for a lasting happiness, but are always left feeling lost, because they've never taken the time to search within themselves.

Now, sure, this is but a cute, maybe thought provoking story, but it's meaning holds true to the core.

So many times, we're looking everywhere for something, for happiness, when truthfully, the answer, the solution, the missing piece, is right inside of you.

But, I know, that's scary.

And what's even scarier, is that MOST people know happiness comes from within.

So why aren't people happy?

Because they don't want to be responsible.

It's much easier to blame everyone, everything, but yourself.

It's a lot easier to blame the market for your business failure.

It's a lot easier to blame wall street for your stock account tanking.

It's a lot easier to blame covid for not starting your business.

It's a lot easier to blame competition for not launching your website.

It's a lot easier to blame publishers for not writing your book.

It's a lot easier to blame other people for your loneliness.

It's a lot easier to blame the world for your current living situation.

Listen, I know, this is a hard pill to swallow.

And YES, "they", or outside circumstances, might of happened to make your situation worse.

But, it doesn't end with them, it ends with YOU.

And everything in the world has no meaning, except the meaning you give it.

For some, an alcoholic abusive parent means they become an alcoholic abusive parent, and for another, it means they'll never touch a drink or lay a finger on another person.

The situation may not be yours to control, but your response is.

That's why all my coaching, from business to person, starts with YOU.

Because YOU are they key.

Master YOU, and the world is yours to take.

Don't, and you'll forever be at the mercy of the world.

I believe in you, I believe in your goals, and I believe in your ability to make life what ever you want it to be.

Stop pointing fingers, take charge and let's build your empire.

To your success,

Al
