See, Think, Do & Care

See, Think, Do & Care

Another one!

A business framework is always better than none. They provide you with a structure to solve a common problem.

However the downside of having these business frameworks is the paradox of choice owing to a number of them being born everyday.

I’ll talk about the one which made the most sense to me. The STDC framework-

  • SEE
  • THINK
  • DO
  • CARE

See- In this stage the customer might use your product/ service but they don’t know if it or you exist yet. In simple words, they have no intention of buying your product.

Eg- Imagine you run a Men’s jean store then in this stage your audience is all men that have legs!

Think- This stage is where the consumers might use your product/ service, know it exists & might have an interest in buying your product but not right away, they have a weak commercial intent.

Eg- All men that have legs & think they a need a new pair of jeans.

Do- This stage depicts those where consumers not only might use your product but actually want it right now. They have a strong commercial intent but it does not mean that they want to buy it from you exactly.

Eg- All men with legs, who need a new pair of jeans & are looking to buy right now.

Care- This is the stage where consumers have used your product more than twice & still plans on continuing.

Eg- Men that have bought these jeans twice or more.

People might, on some occasions regret their purchases, therefore an effective relationship is established when people have used our product at least twice or more.

By applying the STDC framework one can gain a better understanding of their audiences & formulate a clear plan of how, what & where to interact with them & know the exact metrics of what’s working & what’s not.
