What I’m Watching:

The House of Gucci, commonly known as simply Gucci, is an Italian luxury fashion house founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921. The brand has been worn by celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, and Gaga was a perfect fit for her role as Patrizia. Scott’s retelling of the events leading up to Guccio Gucci’s grandson Maurizio Gucci’s assassination is sure to keep you locked in. Featuring a cast with five Oscar-nominated and winning actors, ‘House of Gucci’ is a great watch. It’s long, so keep that in mind when deciding what to watch on a Friday night.

New Platform I’m Looking At:

Access to credit is essential for small businesses. Without access to credit, small businesses could not invest in new inventory, hire new employees, or make other necessary investments in their business. Honeycomb Credit connects small businesses with loans crowdfunded by their fans and customers. Customers and fans can participate for as little as $100, helping small businesses raise their money. This kind of access to capital for small businesses can be a lifesaver, given some of the more stringent rules from larger banks for loans.

Campaign I’m Looking At:

When it comes to travel, spontaneity can often be a lot of fun, except for finding lodging. Not only are you likely to pay more for a last-minute booking, but you may also have difficulty finding a rental that meets your needs. That’s where Whimstay may be able to help. Whimstay offers travelers incredible deals on professionally managed vacation rentals at the last minute. Property management companies and owners can increase occupancy and generate additional revenue by negotiating discounts on unsold inventory. With the vacation rental market valued in the billions and Whimstay’s growth with little marketing, this company and its campaign look to do well.

Album I’m Enjoying:

This album seems to be full of surprises. Steel guitar everywhere, horn sections placed in the right places, upright bass when it serves the song.

Faye Webster’s music has been described as a blend of country, R&B, and folk, with a dash of hip-hop. She has stated that she is not trying to sound like anybody else. Instead, she aims to create a unique sound representing her experiences as a young woman growing up in the South. A fantastic album to listen to with your favorite headphones on. Quote Of The Week

  • “Right now, this is just a job. If I advance any higher in this company, then this would be my career. And, well, if this were my career? I’d have to throw myself in front of a train.” — Jim Halpert, “The Office,” Season 1, “Health Care”
