The SETI Institute’s Artist in Residency (AIR) program is excited to announce that French-born conceptual artist Laurent Grasso is the winner of the Algorithmic Imaginings residency. This new SETI AIR residency explores the impact of AI technologies on art, science, and society by engaging with topics such as imaginary life, AI futures, Posthumanism, and consciousness. Laurent Grasso was one of six nominees who were invited to submit a project proposal for this residency.
Last Call: 2025 Frank Drake Postdoctoral Fellowship
Application Deadline: Sunday, December 15th, 2024. Focusing on “Innovation in the Search for Life in the Universe," this fellowship covers a wide range of fields, including Astronomy and Astrophysics, Astrobiology, Climate and Biogeosciences, Exoplanets, Planetary Exploration, and SETI Intelligence and Technosignatures.
2025 William J. Welch Postdoctoral Fellowship
Application Deadline: Friday, December 20th, 2024. Focusing on "Engineering the Future of Cosmic Exploration," this fellowship covers a wide range of fields, including advanced radio astronomy techniques, the interstellar medium, the development of cutting-edge instrumentation and technology in radio astronomy, time-domain / radio transient science, and technosignatures.
