Besides, the range of separating particle size effectively in dealing with metallic ore is 2 to 0.02 mm.The working principle of Concentrator Shaking Table is to use the combined action of the specific gravity difference of sorted minerals, alternating movement of bed surface, and transverse oblique water flow and riffle (or notch groove), to allow loose layering of ores on the bed surface and fan-shaped zoning. Then different products can be produced.

The table is shaken back and forth longitudinally, using a slow forward stroke and a rapid return strike that causes particles to raw along the deck parallel to the direction of motion. The lighter materials move up and over the riffles and down to exit on the tailings side of the table. Wash water is fed at the top of the table at right angles to the direction of table movement. These forces combine to move particles diagonally across the deck from the feed end and they separate out on the table according to size and density. Tables are most commonly used to recover gold from hard rock ores, but can also be used to recover other mineral materials of higher than normal density. They do an excellent job of recovering small gold particles, even with a fairly high feed rate.
6-S Gold Shaking table, sometimes also known as wet tables, consist of a vibrating riffled deck mounted on some type of support. A motor, usually mounted separately off to the side, drives a small arm that shakes the table along its length. The riffles are usually not more than half an inch high and cover only about half the table surface. Varied riffle designs are available for specific types of applications. Shaking tables are very efficient in recovering heavy minerals from minus 100 microns (150 mesh) down to 5 microns in size. Heavy minerals of a size greater than 150 mesh are better run through a jig.

The raw materials on the shaking table are with mixed densities, the suspending particles of the materials will leak down from the shaking table for its bearing the larger force.
When the shaking table works, the raw materials on the table will tumbling and sliding with the shaking table. The different speed of the particles will lead the table expanding, then the particles with smaller size will screening out. The raw mineral materials will be selecting by adjusting the speed of the table.
