Shine Bright at Hudson Yards

Happy Saturday, LinkedIn friends! 🙂

In this weekend's edition of my newsletter 📰, I share a portion of my journal entry, recapping my Friday evening visit to The Shops at Hudson Yards to check out the Shine Bright light display; while also doing some Christmas shopping. Let's go!

So after riding the 7-train over to the 34th Street and Hudson Yards subway station, I jumped off and walked 🚶🏽 to the Hudson Blvd East exit, where I hopped on the escalator and rode it up to the street level. 

On the ride up, I zipped up my navy blue coat and put on my gloves 🧤 to deal with the frigid weather outside! 🥶

When I arrived outside, I looked 👀 to my right, and the first thing that grabbed my attention was the Vessel!

The Vessel was shining brightly, with an array of beautiful holiday decorations perfectly placed nearby and several skyscrapers blending nicely in the background. 

After taking a pic 📸 of the Vessel, I crossed the street and started walking 🚶🏽 to the shopping mall. 

Before I knew it, I was standing in front of The Shops at Hudson Yards main entrance, admiring the Shine Bright display, which just launched on Monday, November 14. 

It's worth mentioning that over 2 million shimmering white lights are currently illuminating the Hudson Yards neighborhood as part of the Shine Bright display.

There's also a 32-foot hot air balloon suspended inside The Shops at Hudson Yards, which looks spectacular! 

I walked 🚶🏽 around enjoying the sights, sounds, and holiday vibe of the Hudson Yards while sipping on a cup of hot cocoa, and of course, I stopped a few times to take some of my signature pics 📸 before beginning my Christmas shopping. 🎁

I made my final stop 🛑 inside the shopping center at Illesteva to look at some shades 🕶️ before heading back outside. 

• The Vessel

After I completed my shopping, I went outside, all bundled up, and walked 🚶🏽 over to Penn Station to catch the 1-train.

As I was making my way over to Penn Station, I couldn't help but notice that the Empire State Building was lit up in red and green. 

I came to find out that it was lit up to mark the start of the Rockettes' holiday season. 

The Radio City Rockettes hit the stage for their first Christmas Spectacular performance of the holiday season last night—the end. 

Closing Thoughts

Well, friends, I will end it here so I can finish drinking my coffee 🍵 and get on with my Saturday.
