Shorby vs Linktree: Which Is Better for Your Business

You can use link-in-bio tools like Shorby and Linktree to promote your content and make the most of your social media following.

Shorby and Linktree are of tremendous help because many social media platforms, such as Instagram, only permit users to have one link in their bios, and these two programs provide the option to build landing pages with many links that you can add to your social profiles.

Let's compare Shorby and Linktree to see which bio link tool is better for growing your business.

Overview of Shorby and Linktree

The platforms known as "bio link tools," often referred to as "link in bio tools," enable the creation of straightforward landing pages for the display of links to social media profiles, blogs, e-commerce websites, or any other websites.

There are many other bio link tools available, Shorby and Linktree are just two examples.

The less well-known of the two platforms is Shorby, which has been on and off AppSumo for a few years. Since it was founded years earlier, Linktree has undoubtedly enjoyed a greater level of popularity.

Unlike Linktree, Shorby is more than just a bio link tool. It's also a link shortener for Instagram bio and a medium to automatically engage leads outside of Instagram. You can learn how to make full use of all its features in this Shorby review.

Shorby Dashboard Overview

By visiting Shorby.com directly, you will be taken to the login/sign-up page where you can create an account. You will be taken to the main dashboard after creating an account, where you can either shorten a link by pasting it in the box to the right or build a page by clicking the +Create button to the left.

You can create a page, a short link, or a messenger link after clicking the +Create button. When you select the page option, a dashboard appears where you can customize your page.

You can add three things in addition to a title and an image:

1. You can add a wide range of messaging services, such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Skype, Telegram, or Viber.

2. A button leading to any custom URL, a text-only subtitle, a dynamic RSS feed, or a countdown clock can be added using the block feature.

3. You can add your social media profiles using the social links feature.

You can change the appearance, create an alias for your bio link, and add tracking pixels by clicking settings. Shorby offers a nice variety of color schemes to pick from in terms of themes.

By selecting the gear icon under themes, you can delve further into the appearance settings and further alter the design:

Here, you can alter the button's background and color among other things.

Last but not least, you can grant access to the dashboard to your marketing team members by adding their emails to the settings tab. Shorby's simple user interface makes it exceedingly simple to create pages easily and quickly.

Linktree Dashboard Overview

Links, Appearance, Settings, and Analytics are the four tabs you see when you first sign up for Linktree. When you first enter, you will see the Links tab, where (you guessed it) you can add your preferred links.

You have the following link choices with Linktree:

Music links: Links to take visitors to Spotify, Soundcloud, or similar platforms

YouTube links: Adding videos from YouTube or other video players

Store URL: For showcasing products from your eCommerce store

Form link

Link to support me: Allow you to collect donations from visitors

Request link: This is for receiving payments

You can go to the appearance tab once all the links of your choosing have been configured and add your bio, profile picture, and profile title from here.

You can now select the theme that appeals to you the most. Themes are nothing more than the background for your links, and each one has a different layout, palette, and button design.

By purchasing a Linktree Pro subscription, you can access a sizable number of paid themes in addition to a wide variety of free themes. You can choose from a variety of custom link buttons and fonts in the paid version as well.

Shorby vs Linktree: Linktree Pricing

Pricing for Linktree is significantly less expensive than for Shorby. Linktree supports two different pricing platforms:

Free version

a version for $6 per month

The $6 a month package includes additional customization choices, premium themes, enhanced linking tools (restricted and scheduled links), and more.

Shorby vs Linktree: Shorby Pricing

Shorby comes with three pricing plans which are the Pro, Rocket, and Agency plans.

The Rocket plan costs $15 monthly ($12 if you pay yearly).

The Pro plan is $29/month (or $25/month for a full year).

The Agency plan is $99 monthly ($82 monthly for a year).

Linktree only provides you with one link page and lacks link customization, whereas Shorby lets you customize your links and create several link pages. One of the main variations between the platforms that raise the price of Shorby is this feature.

For businesses that manage several clients and need to generate unique bio link pages for each, the option to create numerous pages is excellent.

At higher price points, Shorby also enables you to integrate more visually or audibly captivating content. Under premium areas, your feeds can contain links to podcasts, Shopify videos, and YouTube links.

Shorby or Linktree, Which Tool Is Better?

Both tools get the job done when it comes to creating multiple links for an Instagram bio but Shorby is a more sophisticated tool for Instagram marketing owing to its superior features.

Moreso, there have been a number of reports from Linktree users that Instagram has banned their Linktree links (mine was equally banned). The platform is beginning to mark these links as spam. I stopped using Linktree and jumped on Shorby for this reason.

Having evaluated a number of other options, I find Shorby to be the best Instagram bio link tool to grow a business on Instagram.
