Should You Use Ozempic?
Are you struggling with weight loss and considering using Ozempic to help you get results?
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Andrew Marsham, I'm a qualified trainer and nutritionist and my High Performance health program has helped more than 1,200 executives in the last 6 years.
If you're considering Ozempic there are a few things to consider :
1. It is absolutely effective. It is an incredibly powerful drug for weight loss and is one of the most successful weight loss interventions we have ever seen.
2. Incredibly powerful drugs do come with side effects and are pretty costly. Nausea, headaches, fatigue and dizziness have been reported and the cost in most cases is north of $1,000 per month.
3. No matter what you do when you are on Ozempic if your lifestyle does not change to one that supports your change long term you will have wasted time, effort and a lot of money.
This is the exact same as any crash diet. Crash diets are incredibly effective in the short term. But if there are no longer term lifestyle changes to support the transformation then everything you have lost will be regained and usually with more fat than before due to the slowing down of metabolism on very low food intake.
4. Ozempic works simply by crushing your appetite. A lot of people can end up malnourished, eating low protein and losing a lot of strength and muscle mass.
Incorporating some protein supplementation would be in most cases a good idea. And strength training while using the drug is an absolute must in my opinion.
5. I feel Ozempic should be used for those who have serious health risks due to their weight and really struggle with food dependance. If you are obese then it could be something to help you get started.
Being obese and having type 2 diabetes are huge health risks. For everything from cancer to cardiovascular disease.
Ozempic can be a life line to people who's life is quite literally at risk due t their physical condition.
If you're looking to lose 20-30lbs to tighten up for summer or get back on track then I think you are taking some very expensive high risks for the potential upside.
Here are 5 foods that can help increase testosterone production :
Before I get into this, boosting testosterone requires more than consuming just these 5 foods. Good sleep, healthy body composition, high fitness level, managing stress and eating an all round balanced diet that includes some of these foods is key.
1. Lean Meats: Beef, chicken, and turkey are rich in zinc and protein, both of which are important for testosterone production.
These also promote the building of healthy muscle tissue, which in turn improves testosterone levels.
2. Fatty Fish: Salmon, mackerel, and sardines are high in vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, which can help increase testosterone levels.
3. Eggs: Eggs contain cholesterol, which is a precursor for testosterone synthesis, as well as vitamin D and protein.
4. Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds are good sources of healthy fats, zinc, and magnesium, which are important for testosterone production.
5. Leafy Green Vegetables: Spinach, kale, and Swiss chard are high in magnesium, which has been shown to positively impact testosterone levels.
