Gill showcased his immense talent and scored a staggering 351 runs in just three innings, including a remarkable double-century.

Gill's exceptional performance in the Vijay Merchant Trophy opened doors for him at the higher age-group levels. In 2014, he was selected to represent India U-19 in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup. Gill's impactful batting performances played a crucial role in India's triumph in the tournament. He finished as the leading run-scorer for his team and was named the Player of the Tournament.

Gill's consistent performances at the junior level earned him a place in the India U-19 squad for the ICC U-19 World Cup in 2018. He emerged as one of the standout performers of the tournament, scoring 372 runs in six matches at an impressive average of 124. Professional Life Growth:

Following his successful stint at the U-19 level, Shubman Gill made rapid progress in his professional cricketing career. In 2018, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. Gill's breakthrough moment in international cricket came in 2019 when he made his Test debut for India against Australia in the iconic Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
