Twice a day I am on the train with people I do not know. Very defined time box of 30 minutes, completely sealed from the rest of my life by the gates of two trains stations. My challenge is to think of an idea, take a picture, write the headline and text, design the cover and publish an interesting post… while I am on the train.

You know me, everything must be branded, so “THE DAILY TRAINER” Is born.

In terms of quantity, this week was a disaster. Only a couple of posts were published, and even those two are not published on consecutive days. The gods of SEO will punish me for that.

However, in terms of quality, this week brings a breakthrough: The first Special Edition was published. If you are not Israelis, I must fill you in. The last week was one of the rainiest ones in decades, leading to floods everywhere. In some places, they received the yearly amount of rain in a single day. That is a very serious event. Many people have lost their property, some have died. It is genuinely a major event.

In this kind of weather, taking the train and my electric scooter to work was not an option. Luckily for me, I can work from my home office, and when needed, I can take the car. This is how The-Daily-Trainer-Car-Special-Edition was born.

I like the concept of Special Editions, and together with you, I might explore it from time to time throughout the year. I believe it opens many new opportunities, and it is an exciting new territory to explore.

I am using the train and my electric scooter almost every day. However, on a day like this 🌧⛈🌧, it is impossible to get from the train station to the office without getting totally wet. So I am using my car and drive straight into -4 Parking floor. From there, the office is only an elevator away.

At work, are you responsive to the challenges in your market, customers, and competitors "whether"? Are you using the most effective channels or keep using the ones you use regularly?

The locomotive in the picture, is it pushing or pulling the train? It is hard to know just by looking at the picture, so I will share with you that the locomotive in this picture is pushing the train.

Thinking of it as a marketer, It seems like these days it is all about push. Push notification, Push emails, Push appointments. Slack, Monday, Hubspot, Salesforce, Pardot, even WhatsUp all advertising on Google, YouTube, Facebook Linkedin... it is all push, Push, Push. Pull is almost rude, almost like saying: "I don't care" or "It is not important" or "I don't want to be updated." On the other hand, Pull, give the power to the customer, to the user, to the audience.

Push Vs. Pull, Where do you stand on that subject?

① As a professional

② As a private person

At work and also in relationships, do you push or pull your ideas and messages?
