Slow, Subtle, Indirect is Natural & God-like !

Nature has infinite patience. She works with care and in very indirect ways. She creates a baby, and takes nine months. She does not seem to have any efficiency experts around her. This has been going on for millions of years and she has not learnt anything. Otherwise she would have managed to create better instruments so that a baby could be created within nine minutes.
Why nine months ?
And from the very beginning she has been doing the same thing, she has learned nothing. She should ask the experts - particularly the efficiency experts. They will show her how to produce, how to produce on a mass scale, and not waste so much time - nine months per baby ?
But it is not only with babies - with flowers also she takes infinite care; with birds, even with a blade of grass she takes infinite care and time. She is not in a hurry. In fact it seems, she is not aware of time at all. She exists timelessly. If you want to be with her, don't be in a hurry, otherwise you will bypass her. She will be always loitering here and now, and you will always be going there and then. You will always be like an arrow and she is not like an arrow.
Life moves in circles, not direct. The earth moves around the sun. The sun moves around some greater sun. Galaxies move, the whole universe moves, in circles. Seasons are circular. Childhood, youth, old age move in a circle. The whole of life is circular ... it never goes direct. It is very unlike an arrow which goes direct to the target. In life there is nothing like an arrow. An arrow chooses the very shortest route between two points. The arrow is in a great hurry, seems to be too time-conscious. Nature is not in a hurry.
The arrow is dancing round and round and round. God is just hanging around. God is not going anywhere. She is already there. The arrow is not going towards any target - there is no target. Just "being" is the target. So God hangs around like the fragrance of a flower which hangs in a summer night - just around and around, nowhere to go.
While the whole training of man seems to be to "do things fast" - speed in itself seems to have no intrinsic value. Law of nature is "Happiness is a natural state" It exists in the being. Happiness is elusive when it is pursued. It can only be very gently persuaded. Persuasion is indirect. It is not an attack. You move, but not directly - because when you are direct, you are aggressive. Nothing is as direct as violence. And nothing is as violent as directness.
To be "in nature" (with God) is to be happy, to be "in nature" is to be alive, to be "in nature" is to be in meditation.
