SLOWER Loving and the Brain Fog
I invite you to have a read of this post on brain fog. In it, Jennifer Moss suggests some ideas for dealing:
"Of course, more sleep and exercise, less drinking and overeating. This recipe is common knowledge but sometimes, during a stressful time, hard to manage. If you want to do something right now and – as I like to say – control the controllables, start by taking just 15 minutes for something you love. That could mean doing something you think is totally frivolous. There's one caveat: It must be done with zero guilt. Remind yourself that you're giving a very fried brain a much-needed chance to recharge. To optimize our brains, we need to take short breaks throughout the day. Develop a stress management plan:
- Set boundaries around time for self-care.
- Analyze your schedule: Is there anything you can de-prioritize? Be ruthless. It's easy to say that everything is a priority, but that's never the case.
- Come up with your "three ways to manage stressful situations anywhere." Your three things may include breathing exercises, or mindfulness – just make sure they're things you can do anywhere."
My good friend Michelle Cederberg suggests the notion of Can I get a Hell Yeah?
Love goes far beyond the romantic. It can heal what ails ya.
Indeed, there are things we might not "adore" that we must do, but there is real need for us to minimize same and maximize that which we Love and to which can bring our Love. That which we Love can be the stepping stones of Endurance and grit, getting us across whatever narrow or wide river we are traversing. In our lives, there are have to things, should do things, get around to things and love to things. Know the difference and make sure you have enough of the latter; those needed stepping stones amidst the foggy river crossing. Indeed and in deed, I would suggest to you that my amateurly but deliberate search for information on health points me to what I now refer to as SLOWER Living... sleep, laughter, oxygen, water, exercise and real food... as ingredients for facing brain fog and more.
Bottom line is we need to (a) be aware of the fog and that it is a real thing, and (b) understand how we can see more clearly through it.
Oh, and this latest broadCAST might be of real help. Some Wisdom there for sure.
... peace, passion and prosperity.

Lead, inspire, educate, and unite. Move forward together, stronger. My work is about bringing campuses, companies and communities together, moving forward stronger. I work with educators, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders to do just that. My work is about character leadership and education and its role in helping individuals and organizations build a better world at school, work, business and community. I deliver on it through speaking, coaching and development in character leadership and education. My expertise is character leadership and education. I advance unity in diversity by moving the needle on leadership and education that is high character and results forging. I speak, teach, coach, facilitate, lead, write, sing, dance, cartoon and create on that. In 1980, Professor Rolf Hattenauer changed my life. A highly respected expert in Human Resource Management, he expected much of us and he believed much in us. He was an educator and leader of high character. He was extraordinary. To this day and beyond, I try my darnedest to honor his spirit with my own work. That is another story. But I hope I did him service here.
