💡Aha! Moment

Almost five years ago, I started a workout and weight loss journey. I was pumped, imagining a fit, toned version of myself after just a few months. I stuck to my workouts and tracked my diet, but at first, it felt like I wasn’t making any progress at all.

Then, bit by bit, I started to see changes—clothes fitting looser, more energy, greater strength. I reached my goal, felt on top of the world... and then life happened.

The Reality of Maintenance

It turns out, hitting a milestone is one thing—staying there is another. Over time, I slipped back into old habits, gained some of the weight back, and honestly felt frustrated. But instead of beating myself up, I realized something: it’s okay to start again. 💫

Embracing the Journey, Not Just the Destination

James Clear’s advice came back to me: it’s not about two months; it’s about two years... and sometimes even longer. Real, lasting change is a series of restarts. I had to learn to see each phase—every slip-up, every “starting over”—as part of the journey, not as failure.

My New Perspective: From Setback to Comeback

So here I am, recommitting. But this time, I’m not focused on hitting a target weight. I’m focused on building a flexible and sustainable lifestyle for the long haul. It’s about embracing small wins again and, more importantly, finding joy in the process itself.

Routine Over Results—Revisited

Reframing my perspective has made this new chapter even more rewarding. I’m leaning into the routine and showing myself grace on the tough days. And that’s something I carry over to my coaching too—reminding clients that it’s okay to pivot, recalibrate, and start again. True progress is never linear.

Your Turn! 🎯

What long-term goals are you revisiting? Maybe you’ve had a setback, or you’re finding your way back after some time off. Whatever the case, remember: it’s never too late to begin again. 💪 Settle into a routine, find purpose in the process, and give yourself space to evolve.

1️⃣One Thing I...

🏫 Learned - This past week was a powerful reminder of the value of community. I’ve always appreciated my online network, but meeting people in person at a recent volunteer event and book launch took it to a whole new level. There’s something about those in-person conversations—the spontaneous laughter, the shared stories, and the energy of being surrounded by like-minded people—that just can’t be replicated online.

These moments made me realize how critical cultivating and nurturing these connections is. The sense of belonging and shared purpose was palpable. It reminded me that nothing beats face-to-face interactions when building lasting relationships even in our digital world. I left feeling invigorated, more connected, and more committed than ever to creating spaces where we can all come together, collaborate, and thrive.

📖 Read - I just finished reading Sahil Bloom’s thought-provoking piece, The Taxes of Life You Need to Pay, and it offered a refreshing take on the struggles we all face. Sahil reframes life’s hardships as "taxes" that we pay for personal growth and fulfillment. These taxes—such as loneliness during transformation or boredom in the grind—aren't burdens to be avoided but the cost of a meaningful life.

One concept that really hit home was how stress and anxiety are the "taxes" on ambition. Ambition is a double-edged sword, and growth isn’t always linear—sometimes you’re like a bamboo tree, growing quietly underground until you suddenly shoot up. It was a powerful reminder that success is about staying the course, even when progress seems invisible. Sahil’s analogy perfectly matches what I’ve experienced in my own professional journey, where patience and persistence have been key.

👀 Watched - I recently had the chance to attend a session with NHL All-Star Brian Propp, and while his career on the ice is legendary, it was his story of recovery that truly inspired me. After suffering a severe stroke, Brian turned his focus to resilience, rebuilding his life with courage and an unshakeable will.

What struck me most was his ability to go beyond his role as an athlete. He’s now a symbol of hope and determination for so many, engaging in philanthropy and business development despite his hurdles. His story is a powerful reminder that setbacks don’t have to define us—they can fuel our comeback and redefine our purpose. His journey motivated me to tackle my challenges head-on, with a renewed sense of what’s possible when you refuse to give up. Here is a brief YouTube video that talks about his story.

✔️ Accomplished - I just secured my most significant contract to date for a 2025 event! This isn’t just about the numbers—this win represents months of hard work, strategy, and belief in my vision. It’s a testament to what can happen when you keep pushing forward, even when the path is uncertain.

The journey to this milestone was filled with challenges—countless meetings, tough negotiations, and moments of doubt. But staying focused on the end goal made it all worthwhile. I’m incredibly proud of what this means for my business. It’s more than just a financial success; it’s proof that perseverance, planning, and the support of a strong network really do pay off. I’m more motivated than ever to keep pushing boundaries and raising the bar!
