How to want to grow your business in 2023?
No matter what kind of small business you run, your goal should be to increase your sales and grow your revenue in 2023. Profit is how we keep score in business.
There isn’t any one approach to growing a small business, but there a few key strategies you can use to grow. Consider these questions:
Sales: If you want to grow your sales, take a hard look at your sales process. Where are the gaps? Are you using your CRM software? How often are you having sales meetings? Daily or weekly? Are you developing consistent leads? How are you following up online? Do you need to build a new lead magnet or a new sales funnel? Who do you have on your sales team? Is it time to add a few new salespeople or cut a salesperson who is not producing?
Marketing: Is your brand where you need it to be? Are your clients clear on all the services you provide? Is it time to rebrand, refresh your website or launch a newsletter? What are you doing to maintain visibility and drive re-orders with existing customers? Do you need to develop a loyalty program?
Finance: Are positioned financially to grow? You want to build relationships with potential funders before you need them. How is your business credit score? Do you need to borrow money to invest in your business? If you needed more working capital, where would you get it? Are you ready to invest in real estate for your business? Do you have a large enough line of credit?
Product: It might be time to diversify your offerings. By offering different products or services, you can attract new customers. You can also find different ways to offer your existing products. Could you bundle services for longer term contracts or create a coaching program or a membership or association around your brand?
I know this is a lot to consider. There are a variety of strategies you can use to grow your business this year, but it’s important to measure what’s working. Just remember, you are not alone. I’d be happy to schedule a call with you to walk through some things - just email me at smallbizlady@gmail.com.
